On March 16, 2017, Chongqing University City Science and Technology Industrial Park was officially established. The theme of this year's CISG is "New Opportunities for Inland Opening-Up, New Pattern of Global Cooperation." It is understood that Shapingba District's investment promotion at the CISG will focus on functional zoning, highlighting regional characteristics, deepening the industrial layout of "two belts and three clusters," and focusing on the construction of the China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone. At today's signing ceremony, a total of 8 projects were signed on-site, including the Longfor Tianjie project in Sanxia Square, the Beidou Wanchun (Chongqing) Intelligent Robot Research Institute, and the China-Russia and China-Ukraine Import Trade Service Platform, with an expected contract value of 31.154 billion RMB.
2.Longfor will invest 5 billion RMB to establish the Longfor Tianjie project in Sanxia Square, creating a commercial complex near the high-speed railway station.
The Longfor Tianjie project in Sanxia Square, Shapingba, with an investment of 5 billion RMB, will construct a large-scale urban commercial complex above the Shapingba High-speed Railway Station, integrating one high-speed railway line and three rail lines. The total above-ground construction scale of the project is approximately 480,000 square meters, including 220,000 square meters of commercial space and 260,000 square meters of office towers and commercial buildings, with the commercial space including the self-operated Longfor Tianjie covering about 140,000 square meters.
Upon completion, the project will establish a seamless connection between Sanxia Square and Shapingba Railway Station, creating extensive overall linkage to facilitate the underground operation of high-speed trains, light rail, public transportation, and taxis, as well as seamless integration with the above-ground commercial complex. This will bring a significant influx of foot traffic and logistics to the Shapingba business district. The project will serve as a new cultural landmark, promoting the development of the commercial trade industry in Shapingba District and advancing the expansion, upgrade, and overall development of the Shapingba business district.
3.The Western Logistics Park has signed 8 projects, aiming to jointly build the "Chongqing-Guangxi New" major transportation channel.
The Western Logistics Park will sign a total of 8 projects during the Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair, with a total investment exceeding 5 billion RMB. Among them, the investment of 2 million US dollars was signed for the construction of the China-Russia and China-Ukraine Import Trade Service Platform. Leveraging the advantages of the Chongqing railway port, railway bonded logistics center (Type B), and the "Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe" international railway, this project aims to promote the international trade railway intermodal transportation channel between Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Chongqing, as well as the construction of a commodity display and trading platform. It is estimated that after the mature operation of this project, it will expand the display and trade of Chinese and Russian, Ukrainian goods, with an expected annual import and export trade volume of 500 million RMB.
Additionally, the Western Logistics Park will collaborate with the Jincheng International Logistics Group to jointly develop the Jincheng International Logistics Western Service Platform project, with an investment of 50 million RMB. The project will involve the entry of several professional subsidiaries, including logistics service companies, online service companies, network technology companies, online customs clearance service companies, and international trade companies, into the park.
Jincheng International will utilize comprehensive logistics service solutions and online consolidation capabilities to gather goods from Chongqing and surrounding areas such as Chengdu, Xi'an, Guizhou, Lanzhou, Xining, and Gansu to the Western Logistics Park, further ensuring the supply of the "Chongqing-Guangxi New" international intermodal transportation channel.
During the project signing ceremony, relevant leaders from Shapingba District also introduced the construction of the "Chongqing-Guangxi New" channel. The "Chongqing-Guangxi New" channel refers to a 4080-kilometer international sea-rail intermodal transportation channel with both domestic and foreign trade functions, starting from Chongqing and utilizing railway transportation through Guiyang and Nanning to the Beibu Gulf Port. In May of this year, the "Chongqing-Guangxi New" test run train completed the entire railway transportation distance of 1406 kilometers in 38 hours and 42 minutes. It successfully completed customs clearance and release at the Beibu Gulf, as well as other operations, ultimately achieving bi-directional communication.
By connecting to sea transportation through the "Chongqing-Guangxi New" channel, the transportation distance is reduced by 2150 kilometers compared to Chongqing's transit through Shanghai, with a reduction of 50% in time, taking only 9-13 days, saving more than 20 days. Compared to road transportation to coastal ports, the time is roughly the same, but the cost is reduced by approximately half. Compared to air transportation, it can reduce transportation costs by 80%-85%, with only a 7-10 day extension in time. For goods with less stringent time requirements, this provides a cost-effective transportation option, significantly reducing transportation costs.
4.Shapingba Cultural Tourism, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and Poly Culture will jointly invest 16 billion RMB to develop the Yangjiagou Artists' Village in the first phase.
